When I started shooting video for the internet it consited of shooting video of boarding and antics with my close friends. It was a long process to convert, edit and post on the web. Web cam were more like an extreme slow stop motion project where your image would flicker in and out every second or so. Ustream.tv take internet on the web to a new frontier. This free service lets anyone with a notebook, webcam, and an internet connection broadcast live, real-time video from just about anywhere in the world. Personally, I did some work when I was in the Honduras jungle using a sat phone to broadcast live video to the web.
